- About This Course
This course is for operators and ground handling agents with responsibilities that include processing or accepting dangerous goods consignments intended for air transport, and who have a current accreditation that expires within the next three months.
You will be required to upload a copy of your current accreditation certificate as proof of your compliance with these conditions. Successful completion of this course is subject to a valid and current certificate being provided.
If you complete this training within three months of your expiry date, you will retain the day and month of your expiry.
If you complete this training more than three months before your current expiry date, your new expiry date will be 24 months from the date you complete the course.
IMPORTANT NOTE
International regulations state that you have until the end of the calendar month in which your training expiry date occurs to complete this recurrent training.
If your qualification has expired, and you have not been able to successfully complete your recurrent course before the end of the month of expiry, you will need to contact Academy Support to arrange for your enrolment to be transferred to the ‘Initial’ course. Note, fees may apply to complete this transfer.
The course reviews all aspects of processing and accepting dangerous goods intended for air transport. It includes changes to the regulations and legislation that have taken place since you completed your previous course.
The course fulfills ICAO and IATA training requirements. Details of competent authority approvals are shown below.
Successful completion will qualify you to accept dangerous goods consignments for carriage by air for a further two years.

Course format
This course is intended to be self-paced so that you can complete it at times that are convenient for you. It should take about six hours to complete this reaccreditation (varies by student).
Your performance will be based on an assessment at the end of the training course. This assessment will properly and fairly measure your competency against industry-defined benchmarks. Results, in the form of ‘competent’ or ‘not yet competent’ are provided under a competency-based training and assessment (CTBA) system.

- Requirements
To complete this course access to the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) is required while you are undertaking the learning and assessments parts of the course.
Current editions of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) manual are available for purchase from DG Air Training Centre. Limited access and full publications are available.
Which publication do you require?
- The seven-day and thirty-day versions are for students that only require the publication to complete the course
- The full-access version is for complete access to the publication for the year. Students will purchase this publication to be used throughout the year in their day-to-day work

After successfully completing the assessment, you'll be able to download and print your certificate.

How do my staff access their courses?
Once your staff’s enrolment is completed through your domain administrator (B2B), you will receive an enrolment confirmation with details of how to login. Contact us if you still haven’t received your enrolment confirmation.
